“Every generous act of giving, with every perfect gift, is from above…” James 1:17, NRSV
Christian Stewardship is a way of life and involves all of us and all that we have. Here at St. Paul’s, we have a Year-Round Stewardship Awareness Campaign. This way we will be focusing on all aspects of Stewardship: Time and Talent, Treasure, and Environment. We will divide the year into four parts where we will focus on each of the three components of Stewardship and then have a bring it all together section. We will begin December to February: Time; March to May: Talent; June to September: Environment/Creation; and October to November: Treasure.
We use material from The Episcopal Network for Stewardship (TENS) as well as material from various sources.
Prayer for Stewardship
Lord God, you alone are the source of every good gift, of the vast array of the universe, and the mystery of each human life.
We praise You and we thank You for your great power and Your tender, faithful love.
Everything we are given and everything we have is Your gift, and after having created us You have given us into the keeping of Your son, Jesus Christ.
Fill our minds with HIS truth and our hearts with HIS love, that in HIS spirit we may be bonded together into a community of faith, and a caring people.
In the Name and Spirit of Jesus, we commit ourselves to be good stewards of the gifts entrusted to us, to share our time, our talent and our material gifts as an outward sign of the treasure we hold in Jesus. Amen
