Fourth Sunday after Pentecost
The Season of Pentecost is all about growth, and our Service this Sunday looks at how, with small beginnings, the power and work of the Holy Spirit brings about transformation in our lives, and in our world. Most appropriate for this theme of growth, we’re celebrating the High School Graduations of 3 members of our Parish family, all of whom we’ve been blessed to see grow little by little, from children to the excellent young adults they are today. As well we celebrate Father’s Day! We will also be having our Parish Picnic after the service! We have so much to celebrate this week and so many blessings to be thankful for. Praise God!
We have the opportunity to say “Yes” to the life of God within us, flowing through our veins, as we receive Holy Communion, physically or spiritually, receiving Our Lord into our hearts as we feed on him by faith with thanksgiving.
After this, our Liturgy ends, and the service begins, with a “Sending” to “go forth into the world, rejoicing in the power of the Spirit, and by the power of the Spirit, bearing witness to Jesus and his way of love in all we say and do.
Today’s Service of Holy Eucharist will be livestreamed on our main Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/stpaulscalgary) at 10:00 am.
