Transfiguration Sunday
This Sunday, Transfiguration Sunday, is a hinge between the Season of Epiphany and the Season of Lent, which begins Feb. 14 on Ash Wednesday. We remember how the glory of our Lord is revealed and shines forth. And we remember that what is revealed is that this glory is the glory of love; what shines is the light of love. Our Lord reigns as King of kings and Lord of lords, with a cross as his throne, and a crown of thorns his diadem.
We’re most blessed to share Holy Communion together, physically or spiritually, feeding by faith with thanksgiving on the One who laid down his life for us, so that we may have his life within us always.
Then, our Liturgy ends, and the service begins, as we go forth to spread the light wherever there is darkness, through our words and our deeds.
Today’s Service of Holy Eucharist will be livestreamed on our main Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/stpaulscalgary) at 10:00 am. Following the service, the video will be posted on our YouTube Channel, and a link to the service will be added here.
