This is the only Sunday after Christmas in the 12-day Christmas Season that we’re celebrating at St. Paul’s. It's one more chance to sing great Christmas pieces like "Hark! The Herald Angels Sing," "Go, Tell It on the Mountain," and "Good Christians All, Rejoice," led by our Virtual Choir. Our Virtual Choir is also singing "Mary, Did You Know?" for us as an Anthem. Our Gospel is the only account in Holy Scripture of Jesus between the age of around 2 to 30! In today's Sermon, Fergus will be focussing on this, and what it reminds us about our Saviour. Our Prayers of the People continue this focus, with the Incarnation Litany. Dinah is also sharing with us a special COVID-19 Prayer. And we're remembering that Emmanuel, God with us, came to be with us that he might be within us as well, filling us with his life and love, as we receive Jesus in our hearts with thanksgiving and share Holy Communion together, physically or spiritually together. Then, our Liturgy ends, and the service begins, as we go forth to “tell on the mountain,” the Good News of Jesus’ birth and all it means, through our words and our deeds.
Today’s Service of Holy Eucharist will be livestreamed on our main Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/stpaulscalgary) at 9:30 am.
