We’ve been confronted this past week with the tragic failings south of our border, in our own country, and in our own hearts, toward our brothers and sisters. Our passages from Holy Scripture, as if written in direct response, call us to take up the cross of love and overcome evil with good. We’re blessed to have Norman help lead our worship, including preaching our Homily. We’re also blessed to have our Choir recorded to help lead us in our Opening Hymn, and Paul live on the keyboard to accompany our Closing Hymn. And we’re blessed to have Kerry, in person, to give the First Reading. As part of the Prayers of the People, we have a Prayer in Response to COVID-19, which includes prayer especially for the safe reopening of our schools, from the Anglican Fellowship of Prayer and our own Dinah. And, as an expression of our unity and our desire to receive Our Lord’s life within us, so that we may indeed walk his way of love, we’re ending the Service by receiving him in our hearts with thanksgiving, as we share Spiritual Communion together.
