Leader: Paul Bourgeois
Purpose: To provide music and music leadership for our worship services. We lead the music throughout the year at the 10:00 am Sunday service as well as other special seasonal services (e.g. Christmas, Holy Week).
Practice: Typically, our practices are held Thursday evening at the church at 7:30 pm. Our practice sessions are normally about one and a half hours long.
Materials: All we ask is that you bring your voice and enthusiasm. The ability to read music would be an asset but is certainly not required. The music is provided and Sunday selections are e-mailed to the group a few days before practice.
Fellowship: We try to get together as a group with our spouses a couple of times a year for some relaxation and fellowship.

St. Paul’s has a 3-octave set of Suzuki Tone Chimes that needs a group of 11-15 people to make them ring. The ‘Ding-a-Lings’ have played at Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Easter, Pentecost and Baptism services as well as performed for a fund raising dinner.
First time chimers will be given an orientation session before their first practice. The orientation will cover the basics of ringing and dampening techniques, counting and the format of our colour-coded music. No prior formal music training is required, although it is useful.
Practices begin about 6 weeks prior to the event date and are scheduled for one hour at times that are convenient to the ringers. These usually are on Saturdays or Sundays.
Come have fun with the ‘Ding-a-Lings’!
